PacsOn is a chain of ten well-established stores around Sweden. What they have in common is that they have a long history and strong local roots. The stores supply products and services that make the workplace better everything from office supplies to protective products but also coffee machines. The personal contact with their customers is a fundamental part of the business and they want  high quality to be a benchmark in terms of both service and products.

We visit Martin Bäcklund, salesman and Erik Abrahamsson, coffee technician in their demo room at PacsOn Papperspartner AB. They have started labeling their coffee machines with Service Nodes out of their customers in Västerbotten, their technicians in Umeå and Skellefteå use Service Node when servicing the coffee machines.

Service Node ensures that all service & maintenance is documented historically. This creates transparency between us and our customers and helps us easily show our customers that we deliver what we promise. The automated services reports also makes this easier.

– As a local supplier, you have to be able to keep what you promised to your customers, says Martin who works as a salesman in Umeå. To do so, we strive for transparency, what we promise with our service is very well in line with the service we perform. In the past we have been bad at showing it. Service Node ensures that there is a good history and transparency that we have been there and above all that the contact person receives a service report after our visit.

– We previously looked at more connected systems but it was a bit overkill and the increased cost was not justified, but the cost of Service Node is a cost we can identify and we think it is worth it.

– Thanks to Service Node, we have fewer trips to the customer but better customer contact than before. This means that we save both time and the environment. A real win-win solution!

Erik Abrahamsson, Coffee Technican, PacsOn Papperspartner 

Erik works as a coffee technician and uses Service Node’s mobile app to document his service & maintenance work on the field. It took him a short while to work his way through the system and figure out how to do everything; but he still thought it was relatively easy proccess. Unlike previous working methods with paper journals, he thinks that reporting goes faster and he feels it is safe for the system to ensure that the right person receives the service report.

– It is easy to see the benefits of this system, it simplifies your everyday work and it is not just an extra thing that I have to do. It actually gives us less to do at each location Erik concludes.
